About Us

Camellia Concrete Design-Build is a husband-and-wife team who both hold professional degrees, but true passion is creating homes and businesses with character.  Camellia Concrete came into bloom after they crafted several concrete countertop creations in their own home. 

 

Friends and family members began to comment on their works and the inability to find high-quality, professional Baton Rouge concrete countertop fabricators. With a bit of spousal persuasion, the Mrs. was able to convince the Mr. that he had all the traits to make this a successful venture- a gift with numbers to ensure precise measurements and conversions required for mixing concrete to be used in fabrication, strength and endurance required for the manual mixing and pouring of concrete countertops, a natural-born eye for design, and the intelligence to implement design ideas. 

 

Much to the Mrs. delight, their Baton Rouge backyard workshed was transformed into a complete concrete fabrication studio, the Mr. received additional training through The Concrete Countertop Institute, and last, but not least, the family dog was delighted with all the concrete action taking place in his backyard.
